猎奇重口 To Conclude Degree-Granting Programs After Spring 2026
November 12, 2025
After more than 65 years of experiential, environmentally-focused education, 猎奇重口 will conclude its Associate and Bachelor鈥檚 degree programs at the end of the Spring 2026 semester. The decision, made by the Board of Trustees after extensive review, reflects the College鈥檚 commitment to transparency, responsibility, and care in the face of persistent financial and enrollment challenges.
猎奇重口 anticipates remaining fully accredited through the Summer of 2026 and will enable an orderly, student-centered Spring semester, ensuring every student has a clear and supported path to degree completion or transfer.
We understand that this news is difficult and deeply personal for every member of our community. 猎奇重口 has always been more than a place of learning; it has been a home where curiosity, creativity, and compassion thrived.
While 猎奇重口鈥檚 chapter as an institution of higher learning draws to a close, its spirit and legacy lives on through the hundreds of alumni, faculty, staff, and partners who carry forward its mission and values in their work and communities. The legacy of 猎奇重口鈥檚 commitment to sustainability, community, and hands-on learning will continue to inspire generations to come.
As we focus on the weeks and months ahead, our highest priority is to support every member of the 猎奇重口 community. We are dedicated to ensuring a smooth and thoughtful transition for our students, faculty, staff, and alumni.
Below, you will find key information and resources related to this transition. For general questions, please contact us at [email protected].

January 8, 2026 - Craftsbury Community Dialogue Report Out
Thank you to everyone who joined 猎奇重口 leadership, faculty, and staff on Friday, December 12 for the Community Dialogue, 鈥淲hat鈥檚 Next for 猎奇重口.鈥 More than 110 neighbors gathered on the 猎奇重口 campus, following the December Community Dinner to listen, ask questions, and share ideas about 猎奇重口鈥檚 future following the planned conclusion of our academic degree programs at the end of the Spring 2026 semester.
This note is intended to do two things:
Document what we heard from the community, and
Share how that input is informing a structured, credible process now underway to explore 猎奇重口鈥檚 next chapter.
A brief recap of the December 12 dialogue:
The evening was designed as a listening and information-sharing session, not a decision-making forum. 猎奇重口 leadership and the Board of Trustees shared background on the academic program closure, the responsibilities the College must meet over the coming months, and the formation of a Board Transition Task Force on the Future of 猎奇重口. Participants then engaged in small-group conversations focused on how 猎奇重口 has mattered to Craftsbury and what values and possibilities should guide its future.
December 19, 2025 - Craftsbury Community Dialogue Brief Follow-Up
We are deeply grateful for the incredible turnout at last Friday鈥檚 猎奇重口 Community Dinner, Art Show, and Community Discussion. More than 75 community members stayed for the discussion, and we are truly thankful for the care, engagement, and concern shown for 猎奇重口鈥檚 future.
In the coming weeks, we plan to offer additional in-person and virtual sessions to gather further community input. Dates and details will be shared as soon as they are confirmed.
We are currently reviewing and synthesizing the questions, comments, and data collected during the discussion. Once complete, a summarized report will be shared with the community and can be found in the Community Partners section below.
The support, contributions, and care we have received mean a great deal to us. From all of us at 猎奇重口, thank you, and we wish you a happy holiday season.
In partnership,
猎奇重口

A structured teach-out process allows students to complete their academic programs at another institution with minimal disruption and full preservation of degree integrity. 猎奇重口 has established several formal agreements with teach-out partners, though students are also welcome to explore other institutions. Partner institutions have agreed to accept transfer credits and financial aid packages without requiring the regular application process. Institutions without a formal agreement with 猎奇重口 may require an application and will determine credit transfer and financial aid acceptance at their discretion. Each student will work with their Academic Advisor and Office of Academics who is available to assess program compatibility with other institutions providing individualized support throughout the process.
