Dr. Matthew Price serves as interim associate provost and is a professor of organic chemistry and biochemistry in the Department of Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics on the California campus. He taught Organic Chemistry I and II and Biochemistry.

Originally from the Rocky Mountain West, Price earned his bachelor鈥檚 degree in chemistry from Adams State University and his Ph.D. in organic chemistry from the University of Utah.

Price maintains an active research program focused on synthesizing derivatives of photochromic materials to study structure鈥揳ctivity relationships while mentoring undergraduate students in laboratory research and scientific inquiry.
